Corten is weathering steel designed to develop a natural exterior patina. Exposure to the elements gradually changes the surface from raw steel tones to the rich orange, brown, and rust coloration associated with architectural Corten.
That evolving finish is intentional. It creates a planter that works especially well alongside stone, concrete, wood, greenery, and contemporary outdoor architecture.
